Alison Quinn received a B.S. in Business Administration from Wayne State University. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2008. During law school, Alison served as Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan State Law Review.
Alison began her legal career by serving as a judicial attorney to the Honorable Amy P. Hathaway at the Wayne County Circuit Court. Following public service, she joined a civil litigation firm where she concentrated on insurance defense and handled cases through all stages—from pre-suit to jury trial. In addition, Alison handled appeals and successfully advocated for her clients before the Michigan Court of Appeals. At her prior firm, Alison also served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Motor Vehicle Litigation Practice Group.
In 2015, Alison was proud to be named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. She was also named a Super Lawyers magazine Rising Star in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and was honored to be named to Hour Detroit’s “Top Women Attorneys in Michigan” in 2015 and 2016.
Alison joined Hackney Grover in December 2016. She has experience in an array of insurance defense claims and primarily focuses her practice on first and third party claims under the Michigan No Fault Act. Alison is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
She serves as an officer on the Board of Directors of Operation Give, a non-profit foundation.
