Darren K. Legato graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Business Administration – Pre Law and secondary major in Political Science – Pre Law in 2009. He attended Florida International University College of Law and graduate with his J.D. in 2012. During law school, Mr. Legato worked as a Certified Legal Intern at the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office, under the guidance of his supervising attorneys, zealously working and fighting for his indigent client’s rights throughout their criminal prosecutions. Upon graduation, he gained admittance to the Florida Bar in 2012.
Subsequently, Mr. Legato moved back to his home state and gained admittance to the State Bar of Michigan in 2013. Upon his admittance in Michigan, he joined a small plaintiffs litigation firm where he successfully advocated for the rights and entitlements of his clients, predominantly those seeking first party no-fault personal protection insurance benefits and third-party negligence claims. In 2014, Mr. Legato joined a large, civil litigation firm where he continued in the area of Michigan No-Fault claims, only now turning his abilities and skills to advocating on behalf of the insurance companies in the defense of those claims.
Mr. Legato joined Hackney Grover in January 2016, where he has continued his work in defense of claims for first and third-party benefits under the Michigan No-Fault Act
