Maura B. Battersby


Maura B. Battersby graduated from the University of Michigan in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  Maura then obtained her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School in 2009.  While attending law school, Maura was active in the Moot Court program.  She was named a  member of the Marquette University Moot Court Board, and competed by invitation in the Jenkins Moot Court Competition, and in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition, where she placed in the Top 16 nationally.  Maura was also a board member in the Public Interest Law Society, where she worked to raise funds for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program for graduates entering public service positions.

Maura is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan (2014) and the State of Wisconsin (2009).  She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the  Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

At Hackney Grover, Maura practices General Liability Insurance Litigation,  Insurance Claims and Coverage, and Workers Compensation Defense.

Prior to joining Hackney Grover, Maura was the Managing Attorney of the Wisconsin Automobile Subrogation Practice Group with Yost & Baill, LLP.
